Adam Bromenshenkel, 42 of Sauk Centre, died unexpectedly September 3, 2019 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel presiding. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 pm Friday, September 6, 2019 at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Visitation will continue 9:30 – 10:30 am on Saturday morning at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Sauk Centre.
Adam Gerald Bromenshenkel, the oldest child of Daniel A. and Marilyn (Wolbeck) Bromenshenkel, was born August 14, 1977 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. He attended Holy Family School and graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1996. In September 1999, Adam took a job at Bayer Interior Woods in Sauk Centre and continued to work at the manufacturing plant until his death.
On September 30, 2006, he was united in marriage to Marie J. Backes at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Together, they are the proud parents of Ethan (age 9), Amber (age 7), and Cody (age 5). Adam can be remembered as fun-loving and an avid sports fan. He had a passion for watching high school sports, college sports and Minnesota sports teams. He had the pleasure of coaching all three of his children in T-ball and baseball this past summer and was proud of each of them. He enjoyed not only his children but also all the kids in his life, which included nieces, nephews and the daycare families. Adam enjoyed playing on a Men’s Softball League in Stearns County for years. He also enjoyed driving the John Deere Gator or a 4-wheeler on all the trails that are a part of the family farm.
Adam will be deeply missed by his wife of 13 years, Marie of Sauk Centre; his children, Ethan, Amber, and Cody; his mother, Marilyn Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre; brothers and sister, Shawn (Paula) Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre, Sara Tschida of Sauk Centre, and Bryan (Tricia) Bromenshenkel of West Union; grandmother, Mildred Bromenshenkel of Sauk Centre; mother-in-law, Pat Backes of Richmond; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark Backes of Cold Spring, Roger (Anita) Backes of Richmond, Steve Backes of Lake Elsinore, CA, Rose (John) Olson of Zimmerman, Joann (Dave) Shanteau of Maineville, OH, Jim (Joyce) Backes of Cold Spring Jerry (Kelly) Backes of Albany; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Adam was preceded in death by his father, Dan Bromenshenkel in 2004; father-in-law, Earl Backes in 2017; and his grandparents, John and Leona Wolbeck, and Allan Bromenshenkel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
