Aaron "Kro" Kroshus

Aaron M. "Kro" Kroshus, age 33 of Melrose, died after injuries sustained in a work-related vehicle accident on Friday, April 2, 2021 in South Dakota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. A private family interment will be Friday, April 9 at Calvary Cemetery in Morris, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Aaron Matthew Kroshus was born August 11, 1987 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Kim and Kimberly (Boon) Kroshus. He graduated from Melrose High School. Aaron worked at Melrose Ag Center in Melrose, Bueckers City Sanitation in Melrose, and currently was working at Nature’s Best Ag Service in Albany.

Aaron had an interest in cars, enjoyed snowmobiling, and watching sports. He loved spending time with his friends playing corn hole, competing in Fantasy Football, and hanging out on the pontoon on the lake, but most of all, spending time with his son, Oliver.

Survivors include his son, Oliver Kroshus of Melrose; mother, Kimberly Boon of Sauk Centre; father, Kim Kroshus of Melrose; sister, Jessica Anderson of Coon Rapids; nephews and nieces, Carter, Dylan, Nicky, Jocelyn, and Carlee all of Coon Rapids; special friend, Laura Hagen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Mary Lou Boon and Glen and Lola Kroshus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
